‘The Great Gatsby‘ live in Cham

In February, students from years 12 and 13 of FOSBOS Cham had the chance to see a lively performance of "The Great Gatsby," presented by the American Drama Group Europe. This adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's famous novel brought the exciting world of Jay Gatsby, Daisy Buchanan, and the American Dream to life.
The talented cast from the American Drama Group did an excellent job of portraying the characters and conveying the themes of love, ambition, and social class that are important in the story. The costumes, along with the actors’ impressive dancing and singing skills, made the experience even more enjoyable, taking the audience back to the 1920s — the so-called Roaring Twenties.
After watching the performance, the students will discuss the themes of the novel and how they relate to today's world in their English classes. Events like this not only increase the students' appreciation for literature and theater but also encourage them to think critically about important social issues. The FOSBOS community looks forward to more opportunities to see the American Drama Group perform.
